I have been making lace since the mid-eighties, starting with evening classes locally, then a four-year techniques course covering all types of lace, and later short special courses in Switzerland, Germany and The Czech Republic, and courses led by Dutch, Danish and American tutors.
I am an eclectic lacemaker, often combining different techniques (usually with continuous threads) and using all types of interesting threads. I often work large-scale pieces — mainly in colour — but also like traditional techniques used in modern applications.
My work has been exhibited in Great Britain, Switzerland and Germany.
