Looking back over the years since I started making lace in the mid-1980s makes me realise what a lot of items I have made and designed. I am a lace addict. I enjoy making, designing, demonstrating, talking to people and showing how lace is made and all the beautiful colours and thread that can be used.

My work has been displayed in many different exhibitions. I enjoy the designing and making to a theme, it stretches the mind and makes me think in different ways.

I am a volunteer at Gawthorpe Hall in Lancashire and greatly enjoy working with the lace in the collection but at the same time I believe that time does not stand still and I should be showing what can be done in the twenty-first century.
