I started making bobbin lace in 1984 at a local night school and when that closed, I used books to guide me. In 1987 I took my journey on the City & Guilds courses which introduced me to many other mediums including needle lace which I love. It taught me how to design and I enjoy making my own lace using many different threads and thicknesses. At this time, I become Chair of the Guild of Needle Laces, which unfortunately is no longer in existence. Over the past few years I have studied the Czech style of lace and that has a big influence on my work. I have been fortunate to have my lace exhibited in the UK and abroad and can honestly say I am a lace addict.
